Does the Nikon d60 have a digital zoom?
Does the D90 have both digital and optical zoom or just the optical zoom?
Just go away. Go away & don't come back until you learn to read.
No, and no. Buy a bridge camera if you want that…
No, the D90 does not have digital zoom.
DSLRs typically do not have digital zoom as the typical DSLR owner realizes that digital zoom results in poor photo quality, and generally avoid using it.
The closest DSLRs come to digital zoom are with cameras such as Nikon full frame DSLRs that have a DX mode which is used whenever DX lenses are used (or manually set to DX), and the D7100 which has a 1.3x crop factor.
However, these cameras have high megapixel sensors, 25MP and larger, and in this regard, using a small degree of controlled "digital zoom" (i.e. Going to DX mode) does not result in significant quality loss as they will still be producing photos in the 12~15Megapixel range.
So even with compact cameras, the use of a tiny amount of digital zoom - and I mean tiny amount - may not result in a significant loss of quality, however most cameras and novice photographers crank up the digital zoom much higher, and then experience poor photos.
But the purist photographer would never do this.
DSLRs do not have digital zoom though you can create the effect on a PC by cropping.
The amount of optical zoom depends on the lens(es) you have.
