Does anyone who is reading this know where I can get a Nikon D3100 DSLR for cheaper than this price? --> http://www.walmart.com/...o/15222286

I've been trying to get a a Nikon D3100 DSLR camera since I was 10 years old. That's when I became involved with Photography.

My birthday is September 10th, my mom is getting me a pair of Vans, and some other things I don't know about. And, last year for my Birthday my Grandma got me a Sony Cyber Shot camera, and I appreciate her gift So MUCH. But, it's not a very good camera to take Photography with. I mean, it takes me forever to get it to zoom on the camera, and it only zooms up too 4.1 MP. And, I would like to become more professional. But, a lot of people don't take me seriously when I have my Sony Cyber Shot.

I'm sorry, I'm going into a long story about this. But could someone tell me where I can get a Nikon D3100 DSLR for cheaper than the price in the picture above.^^

Have you tried looking on eBay or Amazon to see if they are selling it cheaper? Also, Newegg.com is an awesome website that tells you the prices that electronics are going for and it tells you who is selling it the cheapest.

BH Photo has it for $496.95.

Wal-mart, Amazon, BH Photo, etc, the reputable places that are very competitive in price will not be able to drop the price by any significant amount. If you see it advertised a LOT cheaper it is certain to be a scam.

You really won't find one much cheaper than that, but if you absolutely need a cheaper camera with DSLR quality images, i'd look at the Olympus PEN E-PL1 (around $250).

If you are stuck on NIKON D series cameras (which are GREAT, $460+ will be as good as you can get new).

The PEN E-PL1 is a micro 4/3s camera (has an image sensor around the same size as entry level DSLRs, and is about 9x bigger than point and shoots). It also has removable lenses, and you can use practically any brand lens for any camera with converter kits (conversion kits, for example to use Nikon lenses on the E-PL1 are like $10).

If you want to see what the Olympus E-PL1 can do (for $250ish I think you'll be amazed) go to the Flickr page I put below.

Well the good news is that camera used to be $650.

Here is one that is a bit cheaper:

OK, not a lot cheaper, but the camera is on closeout, and who knows what you will find. When the D3000 went on close out, Staples sold them for $250.

So keep your eye out for bargains.
