D7000 + nikkor 16-35 not that sharp.comments?

I have the d7000 and the nikkor 16-35 vr lens. The day i bought it, the images were very crisp but it seems as though the images are no longer as sharp as i'd expect.
just wondering whether it's the lens, camera or me but i've been using the D70s for three years so no real stranger the dslr.

Take your camera and lens to a proper camera store and have them do some tests.

Basically if your AF points are picked correctly, the focus should be perfect. Remember that the sharpest aperture of a lens is usually two stops down from wide open.

You can check your focus using the little green dot on the lower left hand side of your viewfinder. When it is steady, you are in focus, based upon which auto-focus point you choose

It's you. Set it back to Auto mode, Auto white balance, Auto ISO, EV 0 (zero), and AF on, or study photography already.
