I just bought a Canon EOS Rebeld T3i SLR Camera.

I do Have an apparel retail business with its ecommerce website and always is a good asset to have a good professional camera to makes professional photos most of them in white background, that is reason why I got this camera.

My concern is that I have a friend that recommends me the Nikon D3200 Digital SLR DSLR Camera as a better choice for my needs.

Which one out thESE two you think will be a better choice?

I will give 5 Stars to best answer.

Yes, the Nikon D3200 has a better performing sensor, but you seem to have the opinion that if you have the right camera, YOU can take professional photos. This is NOT true. It is also NOT true that either of those cameras are professional cameras. They are entry level dSLR cameras

If you really, really want a pro camera, you will be spending around $6,000 for the camera body and another $2,000 for the 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens you need to shoot fashion.

That said, have you ever attended a fashion shoot? Have you seen how the photographer lights their models, how the makeup artists prepares the models face and exposed skin for the shoot or seen how crazy the art director can get. All this is part and parcel of shooting fashion. What is key, after all the techncal aspects of the shoot are handled, the photographer then has to become a director, coaching the model(s) into poses that best show off the textile which will be later placed in a catalog.

Oh, and did I mention using a device like the Xrite Colorchecker Passport to assure that the pigments in the textile match what the camera "sees"? And do you have Adobe Lightroom 5 on your computer to you can process the RAW files?

Your friend is right my man. The nikon 3200 is much better than the t3i. I have the nikon d5100 and it is a very good camara.forget about canon. If you want nice quality pictures pick nikon.canon is a little better for video.before i bought my nikon i tried the t3i and belive me the colors are ****(specialy green). RELAX!
The Canon camera is perfectly able to capture the high quality shots you need.
However, you will have to put a bit of time and effort into learning all its features and about lighting, exposure etc.
