I'm planning on getting a Nikon camera, most likely the D3100 and I wanted to get a fisheye lens for it. The Rokinon like the one above ^ was the cheapest one I could find. Does this lens connect to a nikon camera like the D3100 for example?

If you look closely, you will see that the lens you linked us to is designed to fit a Nikon F-mount. All Nikon cameras made since 1959 are F-mount cameras.

So yes, it will fit.

Yes, it will fit on the camera. It will only focus manually, though this is not difficult especially on a fisheye.

However, you may want to wait. The FE8M, the current model, does not have a chip in it, that is, it can't communicate with the sensors on the camera to provide exposure information on your D3100. On the D3100, this means you must use a light meter.

Samyang, the company that makes lenses branded as Rokinon and a few others, has just announced with the past week (late November 2011) a new model with the proper chip. This means the new one will allow you to use the light meter in the D3100, D5100 and similar cameras. It will still be manual focus, but again, that's not a problem. I don't know when it will ship, but hopefully soon, and I think it will be worth the wait for you. The new model is Samyang AE 8mm 1:3.5 Aspherical IF MC Fish-eye CS with the Nikon mount; Rokinon's model number may be different.
