Camera settings for the Grand Canyon?
I'm going to Vegas in 4 weeks time and I'm hoping to see The Grand Canyon. I want to make sure I can get the best possible pictures from my camera. I would be grateful for any recommended settings.
I have a Nikon D60 18-55mm.
Should I put my camera on aperture setting or Manual? Should I set the ISO or leave it as automatic? I also have a circular polariser - should I use this?
Please also feel free to recommend settings for the Las Vegas strip - day and night time shots/the bellagio fountains!
Well you have to be comfortable with the settings if your not just leave it on M it will do pretty good of a job. Or on LANDSCAPE mode.
The mode of your camera makes no difference. You can get the identical exposures in M, P, Av, and Tv modes. You should almost always have the ISO on 100 or 200.
As far as photographing the Canyon, the most important thing is to get there early morning or just before sunset.
