Bought used camera from B&H?

I just bought a used nikon d3000 from B&H photo online. Itwas rated 9+ and has a 30 day warranty. Do you think its legit?

It was clearly declared "used", had a rating and came with a warranty. What more could you ask for? That's why B&H is the best.

B&H is one of the best stores. I have bought cameras and gear from them for many years.

They have for instance a D3000 for $299. If it says "item condition 9+" this means it shows little or no wear (clcik on the number to see what they mean).

Most likely it was refurbushed by Nikon or returned by a customer who did not want the camera after all and likely never used it. Sounds like a good deal for a $520 (new) camera.

Just like with cars, as soon as you buy a camera, it is no longer new and loses its value. Cameras also get little scratches in use. This should not affect the picture quality.

But you have a 30 day warranty.

I would agree with all of the above. I buy gear from them all the time - never a problem.

B&H is pretty safe for used equipment. Not everything they sell used works as expected, so check it out thoroughly, as it is returnable for 30 days if it is dysfunctional. I have bought two used lenses from them. One I kept; one I returned.
