Best nikon camera lenses for band photography?

I'm getting a nikon D3200 and i want a different lens so that i can take better photography of bands both indoor and outdoor.
what is the best and what setting should i put it on?

For band photography, you either need a powerful flash, or a fast lens. Most venues don't allow flash, so go for the fast lens. The Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G should do nicely.
