Best memory card for d5000 nikon camera?

I'm going to be filming a lot this summer and I need a big memory card to use so that I don't have to always worry about running out of space and having to upload it on my computer.

I was thinking about getting a 32 BG memory card but do you know how much video it holds on a nikon? And also what would be the best brand to work for my camera?

I'm willing to spend up to $100 to $110 for this

Even though you may attempted into buying one very big memory card to hold all your photos, it's generally not a very safe idea to do so. This is because memory cards have the chance of becoming corrupt- destroying all your files and making them useless.

So it's best to buy a few 4 or 8 GB cards instead, and probably use separate cards for video and still images. Remember to create backups frequently to avoid the chance of losing your images or video.

Lexar, Panasonic, and Sandisk are all well-known for making high quality SD cards. Just make sure you get one that's class 6 or higher to ensure better performance for video.

First you're going to find "filming" very difficult with this digital camera since it doesn't shoot film, it shoots video - get your terms in order please.

I'm shooting a Canon 500D and I use 8gb / Class 10. Class 10 is the fastest card currently available and records all my video, up to 12-minutes, with ease because it's so fast. I'm using
8gb because they're less expensive, about $25 each, and I never carry less than 3 in my bag.
Always good to have a backup.
