Best lens for Nikon DSLR?

I'm a beginner and want to buy a D7000 maybe. What lens do you think I should get with it?
My options are 18-55, 18-105, 18-200, 18-55 + 55-200.
The 18-200 is a lot more expensive though, but I can afford it if it's super good. I'm just really not sure right now. Sorry if this is vague. I'm in a tough spot right now in deciding!

The 18-200 isn't super-good, just super-versatile and convenient.
The bigger the difference between mininum and maximum focal length of a lens, the worse is usually its image quality compared to a lens with a lower zoom range of the same price. The 18-200 produces good image quality despite of its massive zoom range because it's so expensive. The 18-55 55-200 combo will get you about the same image quality at half the price, but you'll have to change lenses.
Being someone who doesn't really care about more than 100mm i'd probably get the 18-105. The 18-55 in general would seem a bit out of place on a D7000.
But that's something only you can decide - what kind of photography do you expect to get into? Landscapes? Portraits? Wildlife?

18-55 & 55-200 will give you the greatest range with better image quality. Superzooms like 18-200s are generally worth avoiding.
Sounds like before any of that you need a class. The D7000 is a great camera, a class will help you get great photos from it.

When the 18-200mm was introduced, the quality looked pretty good on 10 MP cameras. With the D7000 at 16 MP its limitations may become more noticeable and annoying.

You seem to have no specific purpose in mind. In that case the 18-55 is a good choice to discover what you do want from your walkarond lens. However, for not that much more extra money you could also get a 18-105 which is in my experience quite a nice lens with a range that covers a lot of casual photograp[hy
