Aperture error on D80 with Nikkor micro 60 mm?
I have a D80 camera. I usually used my Nikkor 28mm with minimum apperature on the lens at 22. When using this lens, I have no problem. Recently I acquired a Nikkor micro 60mm. When attached this lens I get the fEE error on my camera even though I set the lens aperture at it's minimum (32). I can't use this at any setting whether is auto, aperture priority or manual. Can anyone tell me if it is because of my lens or some camera setting? Thanks
Added (1). The Nikkor 60micro DOES have aperture lock. I also tried cleaning the metal contact on the lens. No help, does that mean the lens is malfunctioning?
You usually get that error when the lens isn't communicating with the camera body. Try using a clean eraser to clean the contacts on the lens. If the other lens was fine the camera's contacts are probably not an issue.
Give the Nikon help line a call and they can walk you through the troubleshooting process.

Your fEE error may be because there's no aperture lock on the lens, so if the aperture moves at all during use, the fEE will show up. I use gaffers tape on my lenses that have not aperture lock
