Do you need an amazing camera to have a photoshoot?

Ok so i'm 16, almost 17 and need to start working on my portfolio for college applications. I have a nikon cool-pix camera and plan to do a photo shoot sometime this weekend. The camera is good overall, but is it ok for like… Using pictures with models?

You don't need a 1000$ camera to take good pictures. Honestly, anything can do, but most of the time, $400+ cameras are better. Just editing photos can make them look good enough.

You don't need an expensive camera to shoot. However you do need to know how to use it.read and shoot a lot! Experience is key.
