I wouldn't get any of them. Fujifilm superzooms regularly beat Sony, Cannon and even Nikon compacts in proffessional reviews. I'm considering moving up to DSLR, but I'm aslo considering the

Fujifilm HS20 EXR.

I think this will give you the best image quality, auto features but also room to grow if you decide to get more into the manual side of photography.

Trouble is, the most recent in a long line of AWESOME fuji cameras seem to always have teething problems until new firmware is released.i've no dount that when these cameras are working well, they will beat the pants off of any same price camera, trouble is they seem a bit funny atmo.

I would think the best of that lot you gave is the Canon SX30 IS. On the cheap to save big bucks, check out the Fuji S1800.

If you decide to buy the Canon SX30, I have one that is brand new and in the box. You won't find a retailer that will beat my price ($425 at Best Buy).

Email me with any questions.

If you want panorama mode Sony is a good choice but if you don't mind that I would suggest Canon SX30IS. Great super zoom camera, awesome image quality. Sony HX1 is good but it is an old model.
