For each click of the adjustment knob, how many MOA does the reticle change? (it should be labeled on the adjustment knob). Many scopes have a 1/4" MOA adjustment, which means that for each "click" of the adjustment knob, the bullet's point of impact (POI) will move up, down, left, or right 1/4" at 100 yards. If this is the case with your scope, and your reticle is currently in perfect symmetry (not adjusted in any direction), then 160 "clicks" either up or down should be the extent of the adjustment. However, this does not necessarily mean that the knob will stop rotating. Something may have come disconnected and you might damage the scope by continuing to twist.

I have personally sighted in many scopes and NEVER found it necessary to "max out" my scope, so I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve by this.

Hope this helps!

Judging by your grammar and lack of knowledge on the subject, I would venture to say that you have no prayer of hitting a shot at 500 yards, much less 1000. Do you even know what variables come into play at that range? I'll just stop myself there before I waste much more time explaining this to a 13 year old.
