Change DSLR's color like Pentax Kx?
I'm going to buy a DSLR soon, i like the color of Pentax Kx (purple) but it is so hard to find. Is there a way to change a SLRs color like that? A canon o nikon DSLR? Going to buy it here in the USA (virginia)
No.
Most pros and advanced amateurs just stick with black dSLR's.
The whole colour thing is something best left to the P&S cameras.
At one time there were rubber camera protectors that came in a few colours. I can recall one of the shooters for the Three-Day walk for breast cancer had a red one on her Nikon D40.
You would have to do it yourself, by completely stripping the camera down to component level, and paint the case. I've seen it done, but it is not for the faint hearted! If you have no experience with this sort of work, you will most likely destroy the camera.
If you want a colored case from the factory, Pentax and Panasonic are your only real choices. Sony has made a few of their Alpha bodies with some color to them, but I don't recall them using purple.
We don't recommend it, but we did it ourselves to a few DSLR cameras.

If you are not an expert, the camera may end up not working, so we highly recommend you to think carefully before painting your DSLR.
We have painted a Canon 600D recently for Charity as well - http://blog.digitalrev.com/.
