Make a camera weatherproof without buying an expensive casing?
Are there techniques/DIY builds to make a camera like a Nikon D5300 weatherproof? I don't think that camera has a weatherproof casing accesoiry, but I need a weatherproof casing or something to record on (for example) the beach, or a rainy day.
None that work.
A ziplock plastic bag but it will "mist" your picture making it look a little foggy. I guess you could find a more clear bag to use.
I don't know if it will be adequate in heavy pouring rain, but a Lowepro TLZ should be adequate for transport in light rain or in heavy snow.
If you are in heavy rain you could use a poncho to protect yourself and also your camera.
They make rain sleeves but they will not work at the beach.
That would make a great advert… You at the beach with your Nikon and the tears running down your face.
Should have bought a Pentax!
