You'll loose autofocus and metering. Just buy a Sony or old Minolta lens.

As you will notice, there are a lot of restrictions when using lenses that are not part of the Sony system.
What is wrong with the Sony DT 30mm f/2.8? It is just over one stop slower and 30 mm and 35 mm lenses are not going to give you any control if you are looking for selective focus
