BSA or Nikon for new varmit scope?
I have a 223 Rem.AR-15 and I'm looking at either a Nikon or BSA for a new scope. Which one of these would be the better choice? Http://www.bsaoptics.com/scope.aspx?productID=466 or http://www.amazon.com/...B004MY7LLG
The Nikon has a somewhat better 'rep', but before buying, (you're looking
for a 'best deal' right?), check out the 'optics' bargain or clearance sections at;
www.midwayusa.com for more variety.
(I've found them dependable.)
You also might check out the Simmons 'Platinum' line.
Between those two, Nikon. BSA is mediocre, at best.
I don't know anything about the BSA scopes. I never wanted to take a chance of wasting money on one. Here is a decent one: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/168462/simmons-whitetail-classic-rifle-scope-65-20x-50mm-adjustable-objective-mil-dot-reticle-matte
