Best products to use for video making?

So I decided I'm going to start making videos for YouTube. And I was wondering what products are best as in cameras, computers, and other editing stuff. I was lookin into the iMac for an editing computer but I want the best choice. I was also looking at Nikon but I don't know which type of camera would be best.

For a camera, I would recommend a Rebel t5i, but those are expensive. For editing, use a mac or mac mini and get final cut pro. If i were you that's what I would do.

I use 3 Canon MiniDV tape camcorders to capture Video. I then use a Windows PC, running Sony Vegas 10 to edit my videos.

As far as the cameras go, to get a HD camera, that being one using any other form of Media to store the Video file on, other than MiniDV tape, that can shoot as good a quality video, you would have to spend in excess of $3500 to get a HD camera that could have the same or better Video Quality. Each of MiniDV tape camcorders cost me under $500, new.
