Best outdoor flash system that's not expensive?
I read in someone's answer, that YONGNUO makes low price stuff that works.
i don't need HiFi-stuff, i just need to be able to adjust it (manually or remotely), and i want them to trigger simultaneously, that's it.
i want at least 2-3 flashes, so i don't see why i should by nikon. It get's a little expensive doesn't it?
the same brand also sells wired or wireless triggers. I wonder what those are like?
this seems to be the cheapest way to have portable light!
or has anyone bad experiences with yongnuo?
maybe you've got a better idea, that's not expensive? Any ideas?
I use Yongnuo flashes all the time as well as the more expensive Nikon speedlights.
If you are happy to adjust flash power manually (ie don't need TTL) then I'd recommend the YN560 speedlight - about the same spec as a Nikon SB800 but only costs around £50.
I also use Yongnuo's RF602 radio triggers - great range & reliability. Again they cost about £20 a set (1 trigger + 1 receiver). You can either get extra receivers for the extra flashes you want, or the YN560 has an optical slave mode, so you can get just one receiver and trigger the other flashes optically, HOWEVER this would rely on line of sight & not too bright sunlight outdoors, so radio triggering is the better way to go.
I shot this Strobist swim shoot with 2x YN560's and RF602's;
Just to add I use the RF602 triggers with both my Yongnuo speedlights and my Nikons - they work seamlessly together. Also I trigger my studio lights (which are AC/DC) using the RF602's (plus a short lead to the input jack on the lights).
