Are cameras allowed at Foxwoods?
I'm going to a concert later in the month at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut and wanted to know if i can bring my camera. The concert is in the MGM Grand and I have a Nikon DSLR camera with a non-removable lens. I tried to google it but nothing came up.
Isn't it too bad that Foxwoods doesn't have a phone? You could call them to ask.
There's no such thing as a dSLR with a non-removable lens, Nikon or otherwise. What you have is most probably a bridge camera which is basically a souped-up point-and-shoot in the shape of a small dSLR. Technically, it should be allowed inside but the burly guys at the gate may not know otherwise so it really is a gamble. You know you can't argue with those muscles ever (even if you had your own pair to show).
Then again, there's this.

If your camera does not have a removable lens, then it isn't a DSLR.
You can generally only take small compacts into those sort of venues; that's because they know you will not get very good shots!
But the best thing to do is to ring the venue or concert organisers and ask them.
