A good mobile with a Camera or a Stand alone Camera?

Kindly advice, if i should go for a Mobile with a good camera;like for example Sony Ion [12 MP camera, in 20, 000 rupees] or a conventional, Stand-Alone camera like Nikon or a canon with 12-14 MP camera in almost equal cost. I click occasionally, like most of the people, but need a camera.

If you already have a good mobile, then buy a camera alone. If you have nothing, get a sony ion

For general "snap shot" type photography, a good camera phone is adequate. Some are better that others, but the Sony phones generally do have pretty good cameras for a phone. The one caveat is to make sure the phone cam does have at least a small LED light for some illumination, otherwise they are totally useless in low light, let alone dark.

I have several DSLR cameras, but always have my phone with me, and it takes pretty decent photos. Good enough to share on Facebook and the like anyway.
