I need lens recommendations?
For inexpensive lens.
And I mean Really inexpensive.
What are some decent lenses you would recommend that are $250 or below?
I use Nikon DX series and erlier, I bought the NIKKOR DX 35mm 1.8 for $200 and I found it to be a great lens. Any lens similar to this?
Work out the lenses you need, and take it from there.
Lenses aren't cheap, so you buy as few as possible when your experience tells you that to do job x, you need lens y.
For what?
You buy lenses to make shooting easier. Lenses are classified by focal lengths which dictates more or less their purpose. If you find yourself backing up most of the time to get more of the scenery or everybody in the group, get a wide angle lens. If you find yourself wanting to get nearer to your subject without actually walking, get a telephoto lens. If you always rant about not having enough time to finish a shoot during sunset, get a faster lens (but I guess you already did that). If you want to make small objects seem huge, get a macro lens. When you have decided what lens you need, go to http://bhphotovideo.com/...ovideo.com and look for your choices there. Their prices are competitive so when you reach the store, you will have an idea more or less how much to haggle on.
Nikon has a couple lenses in that price range.
AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED
AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
You should also check out Tamron, Tokina, and Sigma for third party lenses.
