Left side of photos blurry in every picture?

I have a nikon D60 with a 35mm lens, everytime I upload a photo to my computer to edit the left side of the photo is always blurry and out of focus where the right side is fine. I have been doing free lance photography for a couple years now and am knowledgeable of the setting and f stops being correct. If I use my other lens i do not have this issue so obviously something must be wrong with my lens, has anyone experienced this or know what is causing it? I'm planning on taking it in to be serviced just wanted to know first any thoughts on the matter!

Its your lens, clean it off, if it doesn't help take it to a camera shop and get them to clean the inside and check for issues/fix them. If its non reparable, sell it for what it's worth and buy a new one.
Best of luck.

Blurry photographs can occur for a number of reasons, including failing to properly focus the camera before snapping the picture or movement by either the camera or the subject during the taking of the picture. While severely blurred images might not be fixable, you can use photo editing software to fix (or greatly improve) many blurred photos. Photo editors work by helping to increase the contrast between the pixels of blurred images. By using the sharpening feature of your photo editing software, you can help improve the clarity and definition of your photograph.

Open the image in a photo editing software program, such as Adobe Photoshop or Corel PaintShop. You can download several free programs, such as Google's Picasa or GIMP-The GNU Image Manipulation Program, if you do not want to buy an editing program.

Find the sharpening tool on your program; you can usually locate it at the bottom of your tool palette. Use this tool to sharpen blurry portions of the photograph. You can over-sharpen pictures, which leads to an outline or halo around your images, so you want to use as little sharpening as necessary to fix the photograph.

Use the sharpening filters, found in the "filter" category, to help fix a more extensively blurred photograph. The options here usually include "Sharpen", which will tweak your photograph just a bit, "Sharpen More" and "Sharpen Edges," which adds darker tones to the edges of your photographs.

Repeat the use of any filters until you achieve the desired result, and don't be afraid to erase your edits and return to a previous step if you accidentally make the image worse.

Your lens may be out of alignment.

Do this test - Set your camera on a tripod and aim it to a wall with a newspaper taped to the wall. Move the camera in until the newspaper fills your viewfinder.

Very Important: Make sure that you're completely even and parallel to the wall. Take a picture with the aperture wide open (the largest aperture (f2.0 or f2.8). If the left side of the photo looks blurry and the right side is sharp, your lens is out of alignment.

Causes: One of the lens elements could have shifted. The lens got bumped and the lens mounting ring is out of alignment.

Send it in to Nikon for repair. Not sure how much Nikon charges, but Canon just corrected a lens alignment issue with one of my lenses. $150.00.

That happened to me when I tried to bounce my lens off a marble floor. Elements are out of line.
