The old Photoshop 7 will work fine with your D7100, however if you wish to process RAW files from your camera, you need to buy Adobe Lightroom 5 (under $150)

The latest Photoshop is called Photoshop CS6, Extended, but costs around $1, 200

There's no software called "Photoshop 7"

You either have Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 (from 2008), or Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (or 7.0.1) released 2002. You can check which version you have by clicking Help > About Photoshop.

Any version of Photoshop can be used to open Jpegs from any camera.

If you are talking about support for Nikon D7100 NEF files, then the answer is no.

Although you can get the Adobe DNG converter to convert NEFs to DNG, if you have Photoshop 7.0 or 7.0.1 then you can't open DNGs, because there's no Adobe Camera RAW for that version of Photoshop (since it wasn't released until 2005). If you have Elements 7, it might have support for an old version of Adobe Camera RAW - but it won't support NEFs for your camera.

If you purchase Photoshop Elements 11 - then it will have support for your NEF files. Photoshop Elements is only $99 http://www.adobe.com/...m/elements

@fhotoace - actually Photoshop CC is the current version of Photoshop. $20 per month on the Adobe Creative Cloud.
