How to film a close up that also makes the sun look good in the background?

I'm going to be making a youtube video, and I want to do this thing where you are sort of having a close up on something, and either moving the camera or keeping it still and the sun is in the background. The sun will look really nice, and sometimes, have a sort of glowing effect behind the object in the front. I don't really know how to describe this… So, I just hope you are understanding what I mean when I say this. I'm going to be using a Nikon camera. Not a proffesional camera. Just a nikon.

If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know!

You put mirrors or other reflectors or use artificial light and pour so much light on the subject that the lens opening for the person matches that for the sun.
OR
You go out repeatedly and hope to catch the sun when it is muted by cloud and sky conditions to show the effect you want, because the situations you describe call for the sun near the horizon and thus constantly changing position near sunset or sun rise
OR
you shoot the sun when it shows what you want and shoot the person with lighting that matches and merge the two (which takes more than camera only)

I'm not quite sure what you are saying, do you have a nikon camera or a nikon camera with video capabilities? Here are some ideas: If you want to zoom in on something and still have the sun in the background, it may be easier to use an actually video software to achieve the desired or maximum effect you would like. Take a series of photos and then do a video that way. In a program like pinnacle which offers such a variety of ways to achieve different effects. You can have picture in picture effects, bouncing text. This program can be difficult to learn at first but once mastered you can get some really nice effects.

If you are going to use a video camera the angle of your camera would be important, you wouldn't want the sun directly behind your object then you would get too much brightness. Look for shadows over your primary object. It really depends on what you really are wanting to achieve.

Check to see if there are any online videos for your camera to see if you can get any helpful hints from them.

(If you want to learn more about pinnacle look in the resource box. When looking at these products make sure you check your computer requirements-how much memory is required, graphics card etc.one thing is that when you use this program you can upload to youtube).
