How to blur the background and show all the body?

When i see photos with blur background i always see on the face of the person. Not all the body so what lense i must use to show all the body(from face to the feet) and also make bokeh photos with blur background in Nikon cameras?

Same lens, same setting, move back further.

The DoF gets deeper as you move further away from the subject. Same principles apply, so use a large aperture. Keep the background as far away as you can.
