How much can I sell all this canon stuff for?

I've decided to switch to Nikon. Because Canon really disappointed. My 7d had to get repaired 3 times, focusing issue, program issue and something inside of it had to be replaced too. Had issues since day one that I bought it. Though it works now becasue it's been to the Canon factory three times and even though it works, I never want a canon again. I treated it very nicely and never dropped it or anything like that.

This is what I have:

Canon 7d
50mm lens
55-250 lens
battery
16 g extreme
8g extreme
Canon 450 ex 11

My 7d is barely used, because some of the repairs took like a month almost each. I will disclose that its been to the repair shop.

Added (1). Well I bought it new from amazon, and it had little problems at first then crocked totally like a month after. Yes I've heard how great it is but I'm sick of it. I had photography classess, and it was hard to go a month at a time without a camera for school. And my photo buddies all have nikons so we can borrow each others gear. Lol they always said it'd be better if I was a nikon. I still have the check and the box for this stuff too.

Added (2). I asked canon to get a different one, but they said they can repair instead. I only had the manfancture warrenty and that warrenty ended in 2013.

If the camera had issues on the day you bought it, you should have gone back to the store immediately to return it. In most countries, you have the right to expect something you bought to be in fully working order.

I have used various Canon cameras and other Canon devices for years. Not even one of them has ever ended up back at Canon for a single repair.

Honestly, if I saw this as an ad on craigslist, I'd think that this is someone trying to unload a stolen camera kit.

While there's a very very slim possibility that your camera may have been a dud, the fact that you don't even have any clue what you own (and can't even accurately list the items) raises a lot of red flags.

The 7d is a tank. It's one camera that actually can survive being manhandled, dropped and abused.

I love my 7D; it's worked well from the day I bought it.
I tried to sell it the other day because I want a 5D.
I was selling the 7D body (no lens) Canon Battery grip. Battery, CF 2gb card and was asking £800.($1100)
No takers at that price!

I'm another long time Canon user and have never had the slightest problem, but I know that is not what you are asking. If you want to change over, then do so. As for what you can get for your items, the simplest answer is whatever someone will pay you for it. I have sold many items to KEH. You can go to the site and put in your items and condition and get a quote online. There are some things to take into consideration. You MAY get a higher initial price trying to sell on Ebay, but you have all the other hassle to contend with. Buyers that don't pay, shipping costs, idiots who buy and then want to return, Ebay fees and Paypal fees, … And they can be high depending on how much you sell. If you advertise on a place like Craig's list, you better meet any prospective buyer in a public place, and have someone with you. DO NOT allow anyone from that bottom feeder site to come to your home.

Selling to KEH gives you an upfront price, you are dealing with a long time pro company, (the largest used camera dealer in the world), and you even get free shipping to send your items to them. You then get a check in the mail. Simple, fast, safe, easy. I highly recommend you go that route, but no matter what you do, you are going to LOSE considerable money selling out and changing brands and starting all over again.

I also have to agree that I can't understand why you did not simply get a replacement camera body as your problems seemed to happen well within the warranty period.

I have owned 4 Canon DSLR bodies since 2001, never any problem with any of them.

Your best approach is to put it up for sale on Craigslist or eBay. If you get no takers, lower your price.

I just want to add that I have known "A" for almost seven years now. I was aware of most of her photo equipment purchases. This is not stolen gear. She just described it briefly to ask the question here - not to try to sell it here. She is as honest as the day is long - to a fault sometimes - and she is an excellent photographer.

"A," you know I'm glad that you have decided to come over to Nikon from the dark side, too. (haha!)
