What size filters does the nikon d3200 take?
Bought a camera, would like to get some filters. What size does this camera take and where can I purchase these cameras from (link please).

The camera doesn't take any filters, instead they are mounted at the front of the lens.
The size of the filters therefore depends on the lens. It's usually written on the lens with a diameter symbol. E. G. If you have the standard 18-55mm kit lens, you will see something like "⌀ 52mm" written on it. That means that it takes 52mm filters.
Note that for expensive filters it can be a good idea to buy them with a bigger diameter and to use step up rings to make them fit to the lens. That's because you can use a big filter on a lens with a smaller diameter this way, but the opposite is not true without causing vignetting.
Many other lenses use a bigger diameter than 52mm, so in order to be able to use that filter on these as well it would be a good idea to buy a reasonably big one and to adapt it to the lens. Else you might have to re-buy a fitting filter if you ever buy such lenses. Myself, i prefer 77mm filters, but that may be excessive for your purposes - these then usually are significantly more expensive than 52mm ones.
For filters, also always buy quality. Cheap filters mean bad image quality. Stick to brands such as Hoya or B+W.
Buy them from reputable vendors such as Adorama, BHPhotovideo or Amazon.

The filter size would be shown on the front of the lens. Like for example, it would be Nikon 18-55 f3.5-5.6 52mm. The 52mm would be the filter size.

The 18-55mm (kit lens that commonly comes with the camera) is a 52mm filter thread.
As for brands, I'd go for Tiffen or Hoya.
Likely filters you'll need? You might want to use a UV on the lens as a lens protector (helps prevent dirt/smudges getting on the front of the lens element) - tbh it has no other use in digital photography.
Other possibilities are a circular polariser (for darkening skies), and and filters (or grad and's) for long exposure/balancing sky/foreground exposures in landscape work.

52mm, no link needed. Just look on the front of your lens.
IF you have the Nikon 15-55mm kit lens that comes with the camera, 52mm. The first one you should get is a neutral clear or UV 0. Never take it off unless it gets scratched.

Your local camera shop will stock these too.
Then you can look for the creative filters as needed. I would stick with Hoya or Tiffen. Off brands tend to fall apart, and you don't need the $100 pro ones.
