What microphone is best when using a Nikon D3200 for interviews?

I'd like to have a wireless one or the kinds that sit on a table during a conference call. I'm a beginner at this and don't have a whole lot of cash. All of my work is primarily for non profit use.

You can't use a remote mic on the D3200; there's no mic input.

However, the D3300 does have provision for a remote mic.

The D3200 has provision for an external stereo microphone, according to the manual. It would be best to use a wireless mic. You may have problems with the input sensitivity if the wireless mic has a "line level" output. I'm guessing that the input to the remote mic connector is mic level only (manual doesn't say what the manual level control does).

Wireless mics tend to be expensive. You can also opt to use a portable audio recorder. They are small and can be placed inconspicuously. They can be had for under $100. You'll need to sych your audio track to the video track which is done with a clapper (buy a board or clap your hands). You can also synch your recorder audio with the on-camera audio track which might be easier (I use this technique when syncing house audio with the sound panel audio feed in theater shoots).
