For thing I know is that the camera's that we use is totally different than the ones that movie people use to click a poster picture - but I'm wondering what are those cameras that have the capability of clicking a poster size picture. Could someone please tell me a specific camera model that have the capability of clicking such high end quality picture?

[ For example what camera ( nikon d3100 or canon 7d etc ) might have been used to click this image ( image ) such that it was still in a superb quality when printed out this large? ]

You can do this with a fairly average resolution DSLR. The trick is in the printing-the billboard can be printed at low resolution (such as 20 pixels/inch). Since you are on ground level or across the street, the image looks as clear as a 6×8 at high resolution held in your hand. If you were to view the image up close, it would be very blocky or dotty. Some very large and distant billboards have resolutions less than 1.00 ppi.

The photographer hired most likely had the funds (and the obvious need) for a top-tier camera (well above your Nikon and two steps up from your Canon), a portrait lens such as an 85mm f/1.4, and the skill level appropriate for not wasting the President's time. It is also just as likely a medium format camera and suitable lens were used, at even greater expense. But a reasonable quality print could be made with an entry-level DSLR (probably 6MP or more) and a long zoom in these conditions.

To click a poster image, you need a clicker not a camera.

That weatherproof poster may have been clicked by an equally weatherproof camera and lens.
