I wanna buy a REFURBISHED Nikon D3100 from Adorama.com. The camera is factory refurbished from Nikon USA I wanted to know if the camera would show wear and tear or would it look brand new, feel brand new, and act brand new? It would be nice to buy the camera at a cheaper price. It is about $150 cheaper. Any help?

I have colleagues who have purchased refurbished Nikon dSLR cameras and when they arrive the look just like a new camera

Adorama is a reputable dealer. I purchased a refurbished Canon from a dealer I never heard of, who sold by way of amazon, and got a very nice camera. The only thing which was noticeable was paint wear or scratch on the accessory shoe 1/4 inch in length. Otherwise I have a perfect camera! A $150 can be applied to a 50-200mm lens which you might consider as your next lens!

I have bought several lenses and cameras that were Nikon factory refurbished (Adorama, B&H, and Cameta). In every case, they looked brand new.

The only hint they are refurbished is that they come in a plain box rather than what the new cameras come in.

But they do have all accessories, cables, instructions, etc that comes with a new one.
