Hey i'm a beginner and i'm looking to buy my first dslr. I decided on the nikon D5100.
I looked at amazon and bestbuy and its going for $500 body only and $600 body and 18-55mm lens.
So will they have this camera for sale on blackfriday? I wanna buy it cheaper and i'm willing to wait.
And if you suggest any other deals i would appreciate it.

You MIGHT be able to get the same deal on Black Friday (but no guarantees though).

The current $200 off sale ends at the end of this month, and the D5100 goes back to its $699/$799 price

The 5100 with 18/55 lens recently dropped to $599 at Wal Mart after being $649 all spring and summer. It was $849 before that. I suspect it will stay at the $600 at WM for good since the 3200 just arrived at WM for $649.

The Nikon 18-55 kit lens is actually a very good lens. It has excellent glass, although the plastic body is kind of cheap. But I've used one on my D40 for 5 years and approximately 20, 000 shots and it's still perfect. The 5100 kit lens has VR vibration reduction that's lacking on the 3100 and the image quality is quite good as well. I'm sure there's better around, but for the average person, either the VR or non-VR version will be hard to beat. Now if you're shooting for National Geographic magazine, then you better go for something more expensive. The Nikon DX 55-200 VR is a very good lens as well and makes a good combination with the 18-55.
