Can you use a Yongnuo yn-568ex on a Nikon d70s? - 1

I wanted to know if this flash supports HIGH SPEED SYNC on this camera? I like shooting family portraits outside but hate the look without fill in flash. Anybody know?

By the way, the flash DOES support high speed sync. I just need to know if the camera can use the function and go up to the 1/8000

I believe the D70/D70s (as well as the D40) have a hybrid shutter (ie focal plane shutter at below 1/250 sec & electronic shutter above this), so can actually sync at any speed without the need for Nikon's FP sync (high speed sync).

If it supports high speed sync then it supports high speed sync.
Why not fire the flash at each shutter speed to test it out.
NB My Canon does high speed sync - the flash power falls off a cliff when you start to get over about 1/500th or 1/1000th. At 1/8000th your flash will have the power of a candle at 5km!
