Why won't my dslr acsept a micro SD card with an adaptor?

I have a Nikon D3300 and i have a multitude of sd and micro sd cards and whenever i insert a micro sd card in an adapter a message appears on the screen saying "this memory card can't be used. Card may be damaged. Insert another card" but the cards and adapters are real and work on my laptop and canon dslr.

Perhaps it's not formatted correctly or it's to low of a rated card for your DSLR

I'm afraid it's not supported by your adapter! Try inserting it in your cam and connecting it to the computer with the USB cable!

The micro SD with an adapter does not work reliably, as you have experienced. Just use the plain SD cards. My advice is to avoid the Sony brand, since one fell apart and destroyed my SD slot.
