What are some really good cameras?

I want high quality photos. I have a Fuji film camera and to me it's terrible… My friend has a Nikon camera, which I know many of those are very expensive and it takes professional, amazing looking photos! I'm looking for something around $200-300.Is it possible to find something nice for that?

I personally have a Canon 600D a couple months ago which i love! I know that Nikon D3100 has been reduced in price since it's been out for a while. I'm sure you can find one within your range without the lens on Ebay. It has good specs and quite close to my Canon.
The only downside to this that Nikon isn't that well at taking videos compared to Canon (As far as i'm concerned)

If you're not happy with the results your Fujifilm camera is giving you, you're probably not going to be happy with the results you get from a more expensive camera, either. Cameras don't take professional photos. People do. Unless you work on building your skills and learning about things like composition and exposure, your photos aren't going to improve regardless of what camera you use.
