I would like to purchase a flash for my nikon d5300

I would like to have ttl flash and also a way to shoot it wireless without a trigger (preferably wireless ttl)

I was looking into Yn568exII but i heard its not compatible with Nikon cameras…

Any other recommendation? (under $200)

Not looking for much, are you?

Drop the wireless TTL crutch and you can get a couple of flashes for $200. If you must have TTL, then you need to save more money.

I would like to recommend the following flash hope you like it.
1.Neewer NW565N Professional Flash:
This flash is gret. It does take a few minutes of playing with the buttons to identify what they do, and the directions are not great about explaining what each button does. This one definitely effective, gives you options you need to accomplish a beautifully flash lit photograph. I'm very happy with it.
2. Altura Photo Flash Kit:
I was initially very skeptic about going in for this flash but after i consulted a couple of photography forums, i gave it a shot. I was truly amazed but the quality and the delivery by Booyah. This flash is what i was waiting for and it is all that a photographer can want. I would strongly recommend everyone to go in for it.
Both the above flash are good you can go with any of them. Also the links for both the above products I have specified below as 1,2 you can click on any of them.

It is available for both Canon and Nikon. You just have to specify Nikon when you order it.

Call up a few photo shops and ask them to recommend the most affordable Nikon flash for your Nikon D5300 with TTL and possibly wireless activation, too. IF THAT FAILS, start saving your pennies, nickels and dimes until you can afford one. But you can also try Used camera departments at large Photo shops. Otherwise, you're going to have to settle for generic/3rd brand flashes… And we really don't know how accurate they are or how long they 're guaranteed to last.

Look into the Nikon SB-800. It is TTL compatible and will work wirelessly with your D5300. You can find them on Ebay in your price range.

I think putting a flash on a D5300 is like putting a V8 on a Civic.

The cheapest you can get by with would be the Nikon SB-700, around $260 refurbished.
Instead of wireless remote you could try using the timer.
I would never put a non Nikon anything on my Nikon body ( ies )
