Picking out the right camera?
So I have a Nikon (can't remember what it's called) but I want to get a big and better one cause I'm going to college in 2 years and I want to learn all about photography and I want to create a portfolio of all the pictures I've took throughout the years I do mostly sports photography so I would like a camera that's good for fast motion like action shot pictures. If anyone can recommend good cameras, preferably Nikon or cannon that would be great! And it doesn't really matter about the price I just want some good quality cameras and then I'll worry about the price later.
If you meant dSLR, you can get any. They are all basically the same. The more expensive you get, the easier for you to set up the shot if you know exactly what you are doing.
The new Nikon D500 is a game changer for sports photographers at under $2,000
Here is a list of the features that make it the new "go to" cameras for sports shooters
* It is a cropped sensor camera built to handle the day in and day out riggers demanded by pro sports shooters.
* As a cropped sensor camera, it has the extended reach, so can use relatively inexpensive telephoto lenses
* It performs very well in low light (high ISO) only surpassed by its big brother Nikon D5 ($6,300 vs $2,000 Nikon D500)
* It uses the new XQD memory cards which can read/write at 440 MB/s (2933x) vs the old CF cards at 160MB/s.
* If you do get the urge to shoot video, you can shoot in 4k using a device like a Ninja 2 with SSD drive and you will NOT be limited by any video file size when using any memory card
