Nikon 1 lens 10mm or 30-110mm?

I'm trying to transition from my point and shoot to a more advanced one but not a full dSLR since they're too big. I was thinking about getting the Nikon 1 but I'm confused when it comes with lens. I was going to get one of the bundles I saw in a sales paper but it had the option of 10mm or the 30-110mm as the extra lens. I have no idea what they. Which one is better for close up/macro and what one has better zoom and how much zoom like how a point and shoot says 20x zoom what is the nikon 1 lens.

Added (1). I frogot to mention that the kits come with 10-30mm and one of the others.

The 10mm is a prime, made to be light strong, letting allot of light in. It lacks zoom and with the crop factor of 2.7 it is a 27mm lens in effect.

So lovely for a walk in the city

The 30-110mm lens is definitely not as light strong and in lower light will struggle more. Well make the camera struggle more. It offers a zoom range between something like 80mm to 290mm so lovely for taking to the Zoo. But remember not the lens that lets the most light in.

So far there's no specific Macro lens made for the Nikon 1 system. So no lens does a 1:1 what lens can focus the closest by.a much needed factor in macro shots.well check the reviews for the different lenses.

The zoom of a lens depends on a lens, the 10mm, effective 27mm has none. But offers F2.8 in its widest Allowing more light in then well many zoom lenses. This means that in less then perfect light the 10mm will go on further

The 30-110 has 110/30 3, 67x zoom. But really you shouldn't look at such numbers

30-110mm effective 80 to 290mm is from on its widest a nice setting for portraits. To fully zoomed in a nice length to get the animals.

Understand a 100-300mm lens and a 18mm-42mm lens can both be a 3x zoom. But that doesn't matters. What matters is use. The 18mm-42mm depending on the system it is used for can become a lovely portrait lens and "normal" view. The 100mm is quite zoomed in already and forget landscapes with that.

So both are 3x zoom but both have different uses.

At present, there's no macro lens made for the Nikon 1 system. It is still very new, so it may be a while for the lens system to fill out. List of current lenses

Usually it is best to buy the kit with two lenses. That will give you the most versatility when shooting various subjects.
