My 35mm Nikon camera functions fine but the film won't get the picture on it, why?

Did you rewind the film back into the canister and take it in to a photo dept. To be processed and printed? I hope you didn't just open the back and look at the blank (and now ruined) 35mm film.

Did you have the film developed?

What kind of Nikon camera do you have? If it's automatic, you shouldn't have to worry about the film winding properly. However, if you have a manual camera, are you certain you have been winding the film properly for every photo you take? Also, when you're doing with the film roll, are you winding the entire roll properly after use? Make sure you are not exposing the film to light.

Another concern could be that perhaps the film wasn't processed or developed properly. Are you doing this yourself or are you taking your roll to a photo lab?

Did you load the film correctly? If you are not absolutely sure, take the camera to a camera shop and get instruction. After shooting the pics you must rewind the film into the cassette, take the cassette out of the camera, and take the film to a shop for processing - not something you can do at home. If you are unfamiliar with any stage, go to a shop and get instruction - 10 minutes of hands-on will set you right.

You say that if functions fine, but did you get the film developed before looking it at. If you did, you might want to check that the shutter is opening and the mirror is going up when you press the shutter button. If it is not, then the film will not have been exposed and no picture will be there. Hope I helped. God Bless.
