NIKKOR 18-140mm lens?
Question my brother wants a new lens I've been hearing him talk about 18-140 one but will that lens fit on his nikon 3000? If not what is the best lens I can get him for that camera for his birthday? Also what are some other really good lens.

Focusing problem with Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G?
I have the Nikkor 1.8 G which is obviously a manual focus lens and my question is that how can i get sharp focus with this lens? When i look through the viewfinder and focus the pictures look focused in the viewfinder but later when i look at them on my desktop they're out of focus why? How can i get sharp focus?

Added (1). I need a good 70-200mm f2.8 dx lens for a nikon body, I have hands on experience with the sigma version, but haven't used the tamron or nikon variants. I was wondering if you could offer any perks of either or compare them if you have used any or all of them.

Nikkor AF-S 55-300mm Lens Barrel?
I just got a Nikon Nikkor 55-300mm AF-S 4.5-5.6G ED lens and have a question regarding the zoom ring. When zooming between 55 & 100 it is fluid and easy to zoom, however between 100 & 300 it gets stiffer to turn (while not unbearable). I was just curious if it was normal for this to be the case or if it will work out with use.
Any lower-priced fixed aperture Sony E-mount zoom lenses? (under $500 US)?
I'm noticing that the Sony e-mount lens system is very limited. I did notice there are some fixed aperture lenses that range from 800 to $1000.
I understand fixed aperture lenses are generally more expensive anyway. But just to make sure, I'm not overlooking anything here, correct?
Sigma and Tamron appear to make great lenses for the Sony A mount, but without buying an adapter for the E mount, it won't communicate with the body. I generally use manual lenses anyway. However, I'm considering the Sony A6000, which has fast autofocus, but the only zoom lenses that look native are f4.5-6.3
Am I missing something? Is this just the climate that we're in now where the lenses arent as robust as the Canon and Nikon lineups?
Is a teleconverter lens worth purchasing?
I have a Nikon DSLR camera and was considering purchasing a good telephoto lens. (Which can be very pricey) I found a teleconverter lens for a decent price and was wondering of its worth it? The lens I would use it with is as follows:
