It makes the picture a circle right?

do any of you know where i can see an example picture shot by a kodak?

and it doesn't have the fish eye effect automatically right?
you gotta buy it and attach it yoiurself by twisting it in?

i'm thinking about getting a fujifilm with a fish eye lens for 80
and a minolta dslr for 40

they're both very cheap, because i'm getting them at a pawn store
which ones better?
i know that they might not be the best
but that's the best and most afforable option for me

nikon's and canon's may be the top seller's but it's too expensive
the quality's probably very good though
but i'll start out with something basic, and work my way up

i'm really into photography
i'm taking it as my elective next year
i already have photoshop, photofiltre, gimp, photoscape, and picaso and more… V
i'm also taking computer graphic design next year

basically, my question is i wanna order the fish eye lens for my kodak
but it's my first time buying equipment or accesories for my dslr
it's my first kodak dslr
and i'm not sure if the fish eye lens will work?
it said my camera model number kodak z8612

but you gotta attach it? And it makes the circle effect right?
it doesn't already come with it or you can't do the effect on the camera right?

please and thank you! Do any of you know where I can see the effect and how the picture will look if i attach it, i have a kodak easy share Z8612 IS thanks!

Actually, you do NOT have a DSLR - those ones have interchangeable lenses. YOU have a Point & Shoot camera with a fixed lens.

You can't not swap out lenses, least of all could you just buy any old brand. Pentax lenses fit Pentax DSLRs, Canon fits Canon, Nikon fits Nikon, etc.

At best, you can add an adapter "lens" - a cheap and nasty piece of equipment that will not impress you with image quality.

My suggestion is this: Don't waste your money on this. Start doing a little bit of learning about photography… Actually a LOT of learning would be even better. At the same time, start saving your pennies. Once you know more, you'll be able to make better purchasing decisions. You will be able to buy a GOOD DSLR (and it won't be a Kodak!) and you'll be ready to use it.

How can you learn?

Learn about your camera!

Read your manual! Read it several times, and practice in between. If you don't have a book, download a new one from the manufacturer's website.

Attend a class, read some books, read/watch online tutorials.

The major camera manufacturers (like Canon, Nikon, Olympus etc) all have very useful sections on their website for learning about photography.

Understanding at least the basic principles of photography (as well as being familiar with your camera) will enable you to make the most of your gear, and will make a HUGE difference to your images.

In the first place if you go to the Kodak web site you will find that the Kodak Easyshare Z8612 is discontinued and no longer made. But that does not matter as this camera does not take additional lenses, not does is it an interchangeable lens camera.

Now you need to research on line, places like:

www.bhphotovideo.com 1-800-854-5575

www.adorama.com 1-800-223-2500

Canon, Pentax and Nikon are the kings "DSLR" cameras that accept interchangeable lenses:

These cameras start at $550.00 PLUS.

Stay out of pawn shops, you won't find a good deal on cameras there, guns and sporting equipment yes, but cameras no!
