How to recover files from a corrupted SD card?

I recently took a bunch of pictures on my Nikon camera and the most recent files were damaged and wouldn't open, so I downloaded a program that was referred to by a website where somebody had the same problem, but it has copied the files of the photos that I already had but smaller and awful focus and only some of them are now left on my SD card and I have loads missing, what should I do?

You can download the free image recovery program published by Transcend called RecoveRx

You will have to insert the memory card into a card reader for any recovery program to work.

After you have recovered the image files, insert the memory card into your camera and format the card using the format feature on the camera.

In the future to this:

At the end of each shooting day, insert your memory card(s) into a card reader and using the file manager on your computer, copy them to a new file folder named for the subject/location and date (this will help you find images years later)

Once all the image files (still and vdieo) are safely on your computer, insert the memory card into the camera and format the card.

Do this routinely and you will probably never have a corrupted image file or card again.

FORGET that your camera has a delete button. This single button is responsible for most card corruption and lost images than any other on a camera

If you think you may fill your current memory card during a full days shooting, carry a second card which has been freshly formatted.
