RE: My Nikon D300's card slot?

I have a Nikon D3000 SLR camera and there's something wrong with the memory card slot.
I have a feeling that someone has tried to put in an incompatible memory card in it because now when I put it into the slot, it will SOMETIMES only read it if I push on the thing that covers the slot.
It will only read it sometimes and I want to know if I can fix it myself, if so how and if I need it repaired, how much would it cost roughly.

If anyone attempted to put either the incorrect type memory card or force the correct one in but in the wrong direction, damage could have happened.

You will have to have a camera repair expert check this for you.

Since the D3000 is probably still under warranty, you may want to contact Nikon and see what they can do for you.

Is this camera one you bought used or loaned to someone?
