NIKON D7000 for Wedding Photography?

I use a Nikon D7000 for wedding photography today. I carry 35mm, 85mm, 18-105mm and rent a 70-200mm f2.8 (on my body 90% of the time)… Is it worth it to upgrade to either the D800 or D600 or just buy the 70-200mm? Also what are your thoughts on shooting weddings with the D7000… Thanks!

I guess I don't understand what you're asking.

Any good photographer can do a wedding with any dslr from say 10mp and up… In fact even with
6mp provided, as I said, he / she knows what they're doing with the camera, lighting, post and other factors. So the camera body really makes little difference, it's your lenses that count.

The D7000 is plenty of camera for shooting weddings. Not too long ago, wedding photographers were using dSLR cameras with 6 mp sensors.

What I suggest is that instead of spending money on a new camera body that you really do not need, start buying the lenses most used by wedding photographers.

24-70 mm f/2.8
50 mm f/1.4
70-200 mm f/2.8

My guess is that you have a good electronic flash like the Nikon SB700 and are using it

You mean to say you use the 70-200mm for weddings most of the time? You mean you're far, far away from the action? In my case, I shoot with the 35mm and stay as close as can be without rubbing elbows with the priest.

The money? I'd rather spend it on the meanest flash I can put my hands on.
