Film SLR View Finder

I have damaged my viewfinder in my Nikon FM. The glass appears to broken and a black fluid is appears to be shattered. I was wondering if there was anywhere in the UK that would be able to fix / replace the damage.

If you know a site that has a guide to fixing or replacement parts, that would be good also

Darn, … Bad luck man. I don't know of any place first hand. If you can't find anyplace with Google searches, then try seeking out some good photography shops and ask them. They may even be able to repair it themselves.

I had a little look around - you're apparently not the only person with a damaged viewfinder in the Nikon FM. The bad news is that apparently the FM isn't user serviceable. And for the price of having the viewfinder repaired in an authorized Nikon service center, you'd probably get another one (or two, or three).

Some other Nikons had at least the viewfinder screen user replaceable, but not the FM.

Best to contact them to see what it will cost and decide then if a repair makes sense or if you better buy another camera.
