Will a Verbatim SDHC memory card work in a Nikon D50 camera?

No. The D50 is an older camera and it requires Compact Flash cards.

However, I have been successful when I had my D70 by using an Adorama SDHC to MMC card adapter.

Other adapter brands may work, but for sure, this one worked on my D70. This allowed me to standardize on SDHC cards rather than having to carry different cards for my cameras.
