Will a Black rapid rs-4 strap hold onto my Nikon D3100?

So I've been thinking if I wanted to order a Black Rapid Rs-4 strap for my Nikon D3100, but the thing that's holding me back from ordering it is, I have a Nikon D3100 battery grip attached to my D3100 and I was wondering if I put a RS-4 onto my battery grip, will it hold it? Because the Battery grip is made from cheap plastic and there's a Tripod screw mount under it but I don't know if that will break off while being attached to the RS-4 being hanged upside down.

It will hold the camera, but I'm not sure if it will hold the battery grip.

Leave the battery grip off, as a battery grip on a D3100 looks a little silly anyway.
