Which best macro lens for nikon d60? Main usage would be jewelry photography?
We're a silver jewelry mfring company, & need to photograph our Jewelry on daily basis. What would you suggest for Jewelry. Main pcs to photograph, rings, pendants, bracelets etc.
Added (1). Which 1 would be better? Autofocus? Or manual focus & why?
The AF-S 60 mm f/2.8 macro will give you about the right amount of "standoff" from your products, but I suggest you take the camera into a proper camera shop and attach both the 60 mm and 105 mm macros to the camera to see which lens will best suit your needs.
Since your camera will be mounted on a tripod, manual focus is probably going to be the best approach.
Why?
Because as you know, the depth of field increases, one third toward the camera and two-thirds away from the camera at any given focus plane. You will want to assure that your lens is focused at the point where when you stop down the lens, both the front and rear of the product is in focus. You do this by using the depth of field preview button on the camera.
NOTE: The longer the lens, the shallower the depth of field will be at any specific lens aperture. For that reason, I would use the Nikkor 60 mm f/2.8 macro lens
Here is a technique you can use to assure the best depth of field called Focus Stacking for Close-Up Depth and Detail

Focus stacking will require you to use manual focus
There's a specific macro lens I saw on Ebay.com ( Camera & Photo section) ---a TAMRON 60mm F/2 AF 1:1 that is brand new---seller is tagged Camera Spot and it costs $524 and doesn't have shipping charges. It has extras too so it will perfect for your project.
