Where to buy focusing screen?

I have a nikon D60 and there was a tiny scratch in the focusing screen which is very irritating whenever you look into the viewfinder to take a picture. Can anyone suggest the best place to find good quality and affordable focusing screen for the nikon D60?

I'm not entirely sure, but i don't think the focusing screen of the D60 is meant to be replaced by the end user; that's typically a feature of high end cameras as far as i know. So odds are that you'll need a camera repair shot to get this done. Given that the D60 is quite an aging model i doubt that this is worth the investment though.

Just contact Nikon Service & Repair at 1-800-645-6687. You can also go to http://www.nikonusa.com/...epair.page and create an account so you can email Nikon with your question.

I'm having difficulty understanding how you managed to scratch your focusing screen. I'd think a more likely explanation is a piece of lint or other debris. In any case, cleaning or replacing the focusing screen will require sending your camera to a Nikon Authorized Service Center.

I'll second what's been said and add that sometimes (and only sometimes) what appears to be a scratch is just apiece of lint, hair, etc. It has no effect on the photos. You can look at the bottom of the focusing screen after you remove the lens, the trick is to find something to remove the "whatever" that won't leave gunk or fibers on the screen.

Sending the camera to Nikon? Sure but the service will be a lot for what is sadly an aging camera. But a new D3100 instead (Nikon needs your money) and convert the D60 to infrared using LifePixel.
